Chief Medical Officer

Bay Clinic, Inc.

Responsible for the administration and management oversight of all clinical services and programming. Plans, directs, or coordinates medicine and clinical activities of the Health Center in accordance with existing laws, policies, rules and regulations. Promote and support the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical providers.

  • Establish objectives and evaluative or operational criteria for health care teams to ensure quality of patient service and care.

  • In collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, manage change in integrated health care delivery systems, such as work restructuring, technological innovations, and shifts in the focus of care.

  • Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of providers. Counsels providers on performance issues when necessary.

  • Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for medical providers.

  • Provide input to annual budget.

  • Maintain communication between medical providers, operations and administration to ensure interdepartmental functionality.

  • Monitor the use of medical services to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.

  • Maintain part time patient practice at a minimum of 25% of time. Provides direct patient care and consultation with providers regarding complex cases. Covers patient care for providers in their absence.

  • Establish and implements quality management programs to ensure standards of care and service are met.

  • Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, electronic health records, government regulations and communicate changes to provider team
